Hamzaa confirms details for new “Phases” EP

Hamzaa has confirmed the details for her new EP.

The British singer/songwriter (born Cassandra-Malika Hamza) has christened her second mini-collection “Phases” and will release it on August 9th via Warner Music Group / Parlophone Records.

The highly-anticipated project – featuring five songs in the shape of “Sunday Morning,” “Home,” “Hard to Love,” “Unlucky” and “Someday” – delivers productions and songwriting contributions from Grades, Dayyon Alexander, Rykeyz, Levi Lennox, Britten Newbill, Dan Parry, and Laconic.

Hamzaa’s current promotional single “London” – which was co-written and produced by Ollie Green – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Kara Marni drafts RuthAnne for new collaboration

British recording artist Kara Marni has drafted RuthAnne for a new collaboration.

The Irish singer/songwriter (born Ruth-Anne Cunningham) is known for penning Jojo’s “Too Little, Too Late,” Katharine McPhee’s “Over It,” Martin Garrix’s “In the Name of Love,” Leona Lewis’ “Perfection,” Britney Spears’ “Work Bitch,” Niall Horan’s “Slow Hands,” and John Legend’s “No Place Like Home.”

RuthAnne’s current promotional single “Superman” – which she co-wrote with Dave Richardson and Justin Osuji – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

As mentioned in earlier posts, Marni’s upcoming project – featuring previous promotional singles “Move,” “Lose My Love” and “Opposite” – is expected to arrive later this year via Access Records.

On the follow-up to 2018’s “Love Just Ain’t Enough,” Marni has also worked with songwriters and producers including The Invisible Men, Autumn Rowe, Jay Mooncie, Chiara Hunter, Dayyon Alexander, Harloe, and Culture x Tones.

Dinah Jane reunites with Jonathan “J.R.” Rotem for new single “SZNS”

Dinah Jane has released her new single online.

“SZNS” – featuring A Boogie Wit da Hoodie – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was produced by Jonathan “J.R.” Rotem, who previously teamed up with Jane on singles “Heard It All Before” and “Retrograde.”

Rotem’s production resume boasts additional works with Chris Brown (“Wobble Up”), Rihanna (“S.O.S.”), Leona Lewis (“Better With Time”), Gwen Stefani (“Used to Love You”), Nicki Minaj (“Marilyn Monroe”), Ciara (“Level Up”), Enrique Iglesias (“Move to Miami”) and Charlie Puth (“Dangerously”).

Jane’s upcoming project – which reportedly features further contributions from The Electric, Amy Allen, Rob Knox, Victoria Monet, Sam Fischer, and Michelle Buzz – is expected to arrive later this year via HITCO.

Justine Skye liberates new promotional single “Maybe”

Justine Skye has liberated her new promotional single online.

“Maybe” – which was written by Skye alongside Josh Werner and Fai Khadra – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Production duties on “Maybe” were handled by Dre Skull (real name Andrew Hershey), who is also responsible for Mabel’s “Bad Behaviour,” Lily Allen’s “What You Waiting For,” Santigold’s “Crashing Your Party,” Wiz Kid’s “Daddy Yo,” Tkay Maidza’s “Follow Me,” and Popcaan’s “Silence.”

Skye’s debut studio collection, 2018’s “Ultraviolet,” was released through Roc Nation Records. The album featured the singles “U Don’t Know” (featuring Wizkid), “Back For More” (featuring Jeremih) and “Don’t Think About It” (produced by TMS and co-written by Raye and Sam Romans).

She also provided guest vocals on the tracks “Good for You” and “Take It Back,” taken from Blood Orange’s latest album, “Angel’s Pulse,” which is out now via Domino Recording Company.

British singer/songwriter Cassandra-Malika Hamza, known mononymously as Hamzaa, has teamed up with Trey Campbell and Stint for a new collaboration.

Campbell’s songwriting resume boasts works with Banks (“Look What You’re Doing To Me”), Ella Mai (“Found”), Adam Lambert (“Two Fux”), Bebe Rexha (“Atmosphere”), Maad (“Black Ice”), Guy Sebastian (“Stay In Bed”), Inna (“Heaven”) and Black Saint (“Don’t Wreck My Holiday”).

Meanwhile, Stint (born Ajay Bhattacharyya) is responsible for producing Sinead Harnett’s “Pulling Away,” Alina Baraz’s “Tainted,” Sabrina Claudio’s “Unravel Me,” Demi Lovato’s “Tell Me You Love Me,” Jessie Ware’s “Alone,” Nao’s “Don’t Change,” Tei Shi’s “A Kiss Goodbye,” and Janelle Monae’s “Unbreakable.”

Hamzaa’s upcoming project – featuring further productions and songwriting contributions from TMS, Emile Haynie, Dayyon Alexander, Laconic, Aston Rudi, Fred Cox, MNEK, Iain James, and Tre Jean-Marie – is expected to arrive later this year via Parlophone Records.

British singer/songwriter Sarah McLaughlin, known professionally as Bishop Briggs, has released her promotional single online.

“Tattooed On My Heart” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by fellow recording artist John Newman, whose other credits include Paloma Faith’s “‘Til I’m Done,” Jacob Banks’ “Unknown (To You),” Charlie Wilson’s “New Addiction,” Jessie J’s “Fire,” Olly Murs’ “Stick With Me,” and Panic at the Disco’s “Dancing Is Not a Crime.”

Production duties on “Tattooed On My Heart” were handled by Jonny Coffer, who is also responsible for Beyonce’s “Freedom,” Rita Ora’s “Girls,” Rag’n’Bone Man’s “Skin,” Fall Out Boy’s “Hold Me Tight Or Don’t,” Jess Glynne’s “Broken,” Emeli Sande’s “Sweet Architect,” and Naughty Boy’s “Runnin’ (Lose It All).”

The track was co-written by fellow recording artist Marlon Roudette, whose other credits include Sinead Harnett’s “Unconditional,” Louisa Johnson’s “Road to Rome,” Siobhan Donaghy’s “Twist of Fate,” Nadia Rose’s “Airplane Mode,” Wiley’s “My One,” and Jax Jones’ “Ring Ring.”

Thomas’ recent songwriting credits include Pia Mia’s “Crybaby,” Chris Brown’s “Wobble Up,” Lizzo’s “Juice,” Kim Petras’ “Personal Hell,” Big Boi’s “Doin It,” Shenseea’s “Blessed,” Ciara’s “Freak Me,” and Becky G’s “Green Light Go.”

Meanwhile, Danja’s production resume boasts works with Britney Spears (“Gimme More”), Justin Timberlake (“Say Something”), Madonna (“4 Minutes”), Nelly Furtado (“Promiscuous”), Pink (“Sober”), Katharine McPhee (“Love Story”), Mariah Carey (“Migrate”) and Cassie (“Official Girl”).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Dua Lipa’s upcoming sophomore album is expected to arrive later this year via Warner Music Group / Warner Bros. Records.

American singer/songwriter and host of “And the Writer Is …” Podcast Ross Golan has liberated his new single online.

“Stay Positive” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was written by Golan and collectively produced by Nate Mercereau (Leon Bridge, Thomas Rhett) and Ricky Reed (Halsey, Rob Thomas).

As mentioned in various media outlets, Golan’s upcoming concept album, “The Wrong Man,” will arrive on July 26 via Interscope Records.

On the songwriting front, Golan is responsible for co-writing Selena Gomez’s “Same Old Love,” Ariana Grande’s “Dangerous Woman,” Nicki Minaj’s “Marilyn Monroe,” Pink’s “Barbies,” Jason Derulo’s “Painkiller,” Meghan Trainor’s “Hopeless Romantic,” and Jasmine Thompson’s “Old Friends.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Harnett’s upcoming project and follow-up to 2017’s “Chapter One” – featuring previous single “Leo Bear” (which was produced by Maths Times Joy) – is expected to arrive later this year.

On the still-untitled collection, the “She Ain’t Me” singer also worked with songwriters and producers including Rodney Jerkins, Autumn Rowe, Doc McKinney, Illangelo, Ari PenSmith, P2J, Michael Angelo, Alan Sampson, Loxe, Marlon Roudette, Hue Strother, Steve Mostyn, and Future Cut.
