Jennifer Hudson releases new promotional single “Burden Down”

Jennifer Hudson has released her new promotional single online.

“Burden Down” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Lindy Robbins, whose recent credits include DJ Snake’s “A Different Way,” Paloma Faith’s “Cry Baby,” Dua Lipa’s “No Goodbyes,” and Rachel Platten’s “Perfect for You.”

Production duties on “Burden Down” were handled by Jamie Hartman, who is also responsible for Kygo’s “Stargazing,” Rag’n’Bone Man’s “Human,” JP Cooper’s “Passport Home,” Kacy Hill’s “Lion,” and Birdy’s “Shadow.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Hudson’s upcoming fourth album – featuring previous promotional single “Remember Me” – is expected to arrive early next year via Epic Records.

The follow-up to 2014’s “JHUD” reportedly delivers additional alliances with Babyface (Fantasia Barrino), Jon Levine (Rachel Platten), Lauren Christy (Bebe Rexha), Toby Gad (John Legend), Sam Romans (Alicia Keys), Jeff Gitty (Keyshia Cole), Xavier Gordon (Angie Stone) and Cook Classics (Trey Songz).

American singer, songwriter, and actress Jennifer Hudson has collaborated with Sam Romans for her upcoming fourth album.

Romans’ notable songwriting & production credits include Mary J. Blige’s “Doubt,” Rag’n’Bone Man’s “Fade to Nothing,” Lapsley’s “Love is Blind,” Melissa Steel’s “You Love Me,” Ella Mai’s “10,000 Hours,” Little Mix’s “Down & Dirty,” Mahalia’s “Back Up Plan,” Clean Bandit’s “Tears,” Stefanie Heinzmann’s “Falling,” Birdy’s “Beautiful Lies,” and AlunaGeorge’s “I’m in Control.”

His latest mini-album “Automatic” – featuring lead promotional single “Happy Love” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Meanwhile, Hudson is expected to release her next studio collection – featuring current single “Remember Me” – later this year through Epic Records.

Jennifer Hudson has reunited with Diane Warren for her upcoming album.

“Wait till you hear what me and Jennifer are cookin’ up,” the legendary songwriter posted to Instagram on Wednesday (February 01, 2017).

Warren previously teamed up with Hudson on the Harvey Mason Jr.-produced “You Pulled Me Through” and “Still Here,” which was also recorded by British singer-songwriter Natasha Bedingfield.

Fans of Warren’s poignant songwriting should also look out for the next releases by Leona Lewis, Demi Lovato, Kiesza, Lea Michele, Mariah Carey, Kelly Rowland, Stanaj, Max George, Zendaya, Abbey Smith, Kyla, Paloma Faith, Andra Day, Conrad Sewell, and Ferras.

Lauren Christy has hinted at a new collaboration with Jennifer Hudson.

“Had a blast yesterday writing with the supremely talented Jennifer Hudson and Jon Levine,” the British singer, songwriter, and record producer posted to Instagram on Thursday (January 26, 2017).

Christy’s songwriting credits include Bebe Rexha’s “I Got You,” G-Eazy’s “Me, Myself & I,” Iggy Azalea’s “Team,” Enrique Iglesias’ “Tonight (I’m Loving You),” Britney Spears’ “Shadow,” and Avril Lavigne’s “I’m With You.”

Alongside Canadian record producer and songwriter Jon “The Rabbi” Levine, Christy co-wrote Dua Lipa’s “Blow Your Mind (Mwah),” Bebe Rexha’s “I’m Gonna Show You Crazy,” and Leona Lewis’ “Your Hallelujah.”

Meanwhile, Hudson is expected to release her fourth studio collection later this year through Sony Music Entertainment / Epic Records.

The still-untitled collection – which is executive-produced by Clive Davis and L.A. Reid – serves as the follow-up to 2014’s “JHUD,” which debuted at number ten on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles “I Can’t Describe (The Way I Feel),” “Walk it Out,” “I Still Love You” and “It’s Your World.”

Jennifer Hudson has hinted at a new collaboration with Babyface.

“It’s not every day you get to hang out with legends and icons like @la_reid and @babyface … Just chilling,” the actress and singer posted to Instagram.

Babyface recently co-wrote and produced songs for Zendaya (“Something New”), Foxes (“Scar”), Kat Graham (“Secrets”), Jordin Sparks (“They Don’t Give”), and Samantha Jade (“Shake That”).

Along with regular collaborator L.A. Reid, Babyface has helmed hit singles performed by Paula Abdul (“Knocked Out”), Karyn White (“Superwoman”), Pebbles (“Girlfriend”), and Sheena Easton (“The Lover in Me”).

Meanwhile, Hudson is expected to release her fourth studio collection later this year through Sony Music Entertainment / Epic Records.

As mentioned in earlier posts, executive production duties on the still-untitled project are collectively handled by L.A. Reid and Clive Davis.

Jennifer Hudson signs new deal with Epic Records

Jennifer Hudson has signed a new deal with Epic Records and her fourth album is expected to be released later this year.

Epic Records – which is an imprint of Sony Music Entertainment – also houses artists including Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Meghan Trainor, Fifth Harmony, Tamar Braxton, Zara Larsson, and Sara Bareilles.

Hudson’s last studio collection, 2014’s “JHUD,” debuted at number ten on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles “I Can’t Describe (The Way I Feel),” “Walk it Out,” “I Still Love You” and “It’s Your World.”

For the new album, Hudson has teamed up with music moguls L.A. Reid and Clive Davis to serve as executive producers.

The duo previously collaborated on Whitney Houston’s 1992 soundtrack to “The Bodyguard,” which sold over 45 million copies worldwide. The record-smashing collection – which featured further contributions from Lisa Stansfield and Kenny G – is also the best-selling soundtrack of all time.

Jennifer Hudson has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The American songbird posted the visual clip for “I Still Love You” to her Vevo channel on Thursday (June 04, 2015).

“I Still Love You” was co-written by Andrea Martin (Leona Lewis, Jordin Sparks) and David “Switch” Taylor (Chris Brown, Sevyn Streeter).

Production duties on “I Still Love You” were handled by Kye “Foamo” Gibbon and Matthew “RackNRuin” Robson-Scott of Gorgon City, who also teamed with Hudson on the Kiesza-assisted hit single “Go All Night.”

Hudson’s latest album “JHUD” – featuring previous promotional cuts “It’s Your World,” “Walk It Out” and “I Can’t Describe (The Way I Feel)” – is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with RCA Records.

Furthermore, that collection boasts additional productions from Pharrell Williams (Kelly Rowland, Alicia Keys), Timbaland (Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado) and Jerry “Wonda” Duplessis (Whitney Houston, Mary J, Blige).

Gorgon City have released their new single online.

“Go All Night” – featuring Jennifer Hudson – is now available for download via iTunes (UK) in partnership with Black Butter Records and Virgin EMI Records.

The track – which was co-written by Canadian singer/songwriter Kiesza – follows previous promotional cuts “Ready for Your Love (featuring MNEK),” “Here for You (featuring Laura Welsh)” and “Unmissable (featuring Zak Abel).”

Gorgon City’s debut album “Sirens” boasts further collaborations with Jonny Coffer (Tinie Tempah, James Arthur), Emeli Sande (Rihanna, Katy Perry), Jimmy Napes (Jessie Ware, Mary J. Blige) and Mojam (Sam Smith, Leona Lewis).

The production duo – consisting of Kye Gibbon and Matthew Robson-Scott – also teamed up with Hudson on “I Still Love You.” The Andrea Martin–assisted track appears on Hudson’s latest album, “JHUD,” out now via RCA Records.
