Kiesza teams up with Bakermat for new single “Don’t Want You Back”

Canadian singer/songwriter Kiesa Rae Ellested, professionally known as Kiesza, has teamed up with Dutch DJ and music producer Bakermat for new single “Don’t Want You Back,” now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Initially recorded by UK recording artist Tamera Foster for her debut project under Simon Cowell’s label Syco Music, “Don’t Want You Back” was co-written by Foster alongside Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett (Rita Ora, Shola Ama) and Komi Hakam (Sam Smith, Ella Henderson).

Kiesza, on the other hand, is expected to release her upcoming sophomore major-label album, which serves as the follow-up to 2014’s “Sound of a Woman,” later this year via Universal Music Group / Island Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly delivers songwriting contributions from Diane Warren (Leona Lewis), Jenna Andrews (Noah Cyrus), Shungudzo Kuyimba (Jessie Ware), Ilsey Juber (Ellie Goulding) and Autumn Rowe (Dua Lipa).

Among the producers expected to appear on the album are Jonny Coffer (Emeli Sande), Danja (Ciara), Kid Harpoon (Harry Styles), Illangelo (Alicia Keys), Boi-1da (Drake), Jonas Jeberg (Bebe Rexha), DJ Dahi (Tinashe), Axident (Justin Bieber), Big Taste (Maty Noyes) and Stargate (Rihanna).

Kiesza teams up with Stuart Price for new single “Dearly Beloved”

Kiesza has scheduled the release date for her new single.

The Canadian singer-songwriter – real name Kiesa Rae Ellestad – will release “Dearly Beloved” on January 6 via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

“Dearly Beloved” was co-written and produced by Stuart Price, whose other credits include “Hung Up” (Madonna), “Singing Low” (The Fray), “Lion” (Kacy Hill), “Superheated” (New Order) and “Surrender” (Hurts).

Kiesza’s upcoming sophomore album reportedly delivers further contributions from Jenna Andrews, Diane Warren, Stargate, Axident, Jonas Jeberg, Kid Harpoon, Jonny Coffer, and Brandon “Donut” Bell.

Her first studio collection, 2014’s “Sound of a Woman,” topped the US Dance / Electronic Albums Chart and delivered singles including “Hideaway,” “Giant in My Heart” and “No Enemiesz.”

Kiesza has teamed up with Jonny Coffer for new material.

Coffer recently co-produced and co-penned “Freedom” for Beyonce along with Carla Marie Williams and Dean “Arrow Benjamin” McIntosh.

His extensive resume boasts further works with All Saints (“This is a War”), Jess Glynne (“No Right No Wrongs”), Leona Lewis (“The Best and the Worst”), The Vamps (“Million Words”) and Tanika (“Fucking With My Heart”).

Meanwhile, Kiesza – real name Kiesa Rae Ellestad – is expected to release her next studio collection later this year through Lokal Legend / Island Records.

The still-untitled project follows 2014’s “Sound of a Woman,” which topped the US Dance / Electronic Albums Chart and delivered singles including “Hideaway,” “Giant in My Heart” and “No Enemiesz.”

Among the musicians backing Kiesza on the new LP are Stargate (Rihanna), Diane Warren (Brandy), Jonas Jeberg (Meghan Trainor), Kid Harpoon (Jessie Ware), Axident (Justin Bieber) and Jenna Andrews (Tori Kelly).

Kiesza has recorded new music with Kid Harpoon and Jonas Jeberg.

It is yet to be known whether the session was intended for another artist of Kiesza’s upcoming sophomore album.

Harpoon’s songwriting and production resume boasts works with Christina Perri (“Burning Gold”), Foxes (“Let Go for Tonight”), Jessie Ware (“Wildest Moments”) and Shakira (“Can’t Remember to Forget You”).

Meanwhile, Jeberg is responsible for co-writing/producing Fifth Harmony’s “Sledgehammer” [Epic], Zendaya’s “Putcha Body Down” [Hollywood] and Jason Derulo’s “Marry Me” [Warner Brothers].

Kiesza, on the other hand, is expected to release her next studio collection later this year through Lokal Legend / Island Records.

Kiesza has recorded new music with Stargate.

The singer-songwriter – real name Kiesa Rae Ellestad – previously teamed up with Norwegian songwriting and production duo on “Cannonball” and “Feel the Light,” taken from the original motion picture soundtrack, “Home.”

Stargate – composed of Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel Storleer Eriksen – have also worked with top songwriters such as Makeba Riddick, Coco Morier, Emeli Sande, Autumn Rowe, Mozella, Priscilla Renea, Ester Dean, and Sia.

Their recent credits include Fifth Harmony (“Worth It”), Shakira (“Try Everything”), Tinashe (“All Hands on Deck”), Coldplay (“Adventure of a Lifetime”), Pia Mia (“Touch”) and Vance Joy (“Straight Into Your Arms”).

Meanwhile, Kiesza is expected to release her second major label album next year through Lokal Legend / Island Records.

The legendary songwriter recently co-penned “Til it Happens to You” for Lady Gaga, taken from the 2015 documentary film, “The Hunting Ground,” which deals with campus rape in the United States.

Warren’s recent credits also include Leona Lewis’ “You Knew Me When” [Island], Ciara’s “I Got You” [Epic], Paloma Faith’s “Only Love Can Hurt Like This” [RCA] and Celine Dion’s “Unfinished Songs” [Columbia].

Furthermore, fans of her poignant songwriting should look out for the upcoming projects by Zendaya [Hollywood], Lea Michele [Columbia], Mariah Carey [Epic], Grace [RCA], K. Michelle [Atlantic], and Brandy [MBK].

Meanwhile, Kiesza – real name Kiesa Rae Ellestad – is expected to release her second major label album next year through Island Records.

Rihanna has unleashed the artwork for her upcoming eighth album.

The singer/songwriter christened her next studio collection “Anti” and will release it later this year through Roc Nation Records.

The follow-up to 2012’s “Unapologetic” features singles “FourFiveSeconds,” “American Oxygen” and “Bitch Better Have My Money.”

It is also executive-produced by Kanye West, whose resume includes works with Madonna (“Illuminati”), Alicia Keys (“Unbreakable”), The Weeknd (“Tell Your Friends”), Mariah Carey (“Stay the Night”) and Janet Jackson (“My Baby”).

Other producers associated with the keenly-awaited project are Mike Dean (Sky Ferreira), Dallas Austin (Lionel Richie), Alex Da Kid (John Legend), Naughty Boy (Beyonce), DJ Mustard (Keyshia Cole) and Stargate (Demi Lovato).

Rihanna has reunited with Priscilla Renea for her upcoming eighth album.

Renea previously co-wrote “Watch ‘N Learn” for Rihanna along with Alja Jackson and Chauncey “Hit-Boy” Hollis. She also co-wrote “California King Bed,” which peaked to number eight on the UK Singles Chart.

Other notable credits by Renea include Mariah Carey’s “Infinity” [Epic], Fifth Harmony’s “Worth It” [Syco], Cheryl’s “Promise This” [Polydor], Tamar Braxton’s “Tip Toe” [Streamline] and Demi Lovato’s “Fix a Heart” [Hollywood].

She has also contributed to the next projects by Clean Bandit [Atlantic], Rita Ora [Columbia], Chromeo [Last Gang] Usher [RCA] and K. Michelle [Atlantic].

Meanwhile, Rihanna is expected to release her next studio collection later this year through Westbury Road Entertainment and Roc Nation Records.

Jennifer Lopez has unleashed the music video for her new single online.

The singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “Feel the Light” to her Vevo channel on Friday (March 20, 2015).

“Feel the Light” was written by Canadian recording artist Kiesza along with Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel Storleer Eriksen of Stargate (Beyonce, Christina Milian) and Emile Haynie (Bruno Mars, Lana Del Rey).

The track is lifted from the original motion picture soundtrack, “Home,” which will be available for download from March 23 via iTunes and Roc Nation.

Other musicians who contributed to “Home” are Tiago Carvalho (Brandy, Elijah Blake), Ester Dean (Rihanna, Britney Spears), Rodney Jerkins (Sam Smith, Janet Jackson) and Maureen “Mozella” McDonald (Tinashe, Miley Cyrus).

Rihanna releases new single “Towards the Sun”

Rihanna has released a new song online.

“Towards the Sun” is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Roc Nation and Westbury Road Entertainment.

The track appears on the original motion picture soundtrack, “Home,” which will hit stores and digital outlets on March 17.

Production duties on “Towards the Sun” were handled by Tiago Carvalho (James Arthur, Elijah Blake) and Gary Go (Ronan Keating, Katharine McPhee).

“Home” features further guest appearances from Charli XCX (“Red Balloon”), Kiesza (“Cannonball”), Jennifer Lopez (“Feel the Light”), Clarence Coffee Jr. (“Run to Me”) and James Clark (“Peaceful Holiday”).

On the songwriting and production front, the project spawns contributions from Stargate (Brandy, Christina Milian), Mozella (Tinashe, Miley Cyrus), Emile Haynie (Lykke Li, Bruno Mars) and Ester Dean (Usher, Nicki Minaj).
